The hiking trail starts at Casera Duran, located at an altitude of 1,601 meters on the Duran Pass, and follows mule track number 549. The route includes a short, steep climb on a forest path, followed by a wide dirt road with a mostly gentle slope, interspersed with short sections with a slightly steeper gradient. The total duration of the route is estimated at about an hour and a half, ending with a modest climb leading to the refuge, located at an altitude of 1834 meters. Lunch is available at the refuge; however, please note that reservations are not accepted. To check whether the refuge is open or closed, please consult the website.
